What is the best way to store Bio-K+ products?
The Everyday Wellness capsules and more recently the PRO line capsules are produced using modern technology and packaging that ensures the survivability of the live bacteria. The potency of Bio-K+ capsules is guaranteed until the expiration date and do not require refrigeration. These capsules have optimized stability due to the desiccant sachet contained in each bottle. It keeps the product dry and stable and assures capsules have their full potency until the expiration date. We recommend keeping the desiccant sachet in the bottle!Bio-K+ drinkable probiotics' bacetrial count is guaranteed until the best before date if the product is refrigerated. They can be kept out of the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours. The product will still be edible and effective; however, we cannot guarantee the number of bacteria until the best before date and the taste will be more acid and the texture lumpier.
When should I take Bio-K+ products?
You can take Bio-K+ probiotics at any time of day, either with or without food. We encourage you to find your own rhythm when taking Bio-K+ products.Don't mix your probiotic with warm food and do not cook it. The bacteria are sensitive to heat.

I got this probiotic and almost died. There is Pumpkin Seed protein in it which is a huge allergen. There is no warnings and who would expected a probiotic to contain pumpkin seed protein!? Horrible experience.

It is listed in the ingredient list on each individual bottle, and it is also mentioned on the front and other panels of the 6-pack box so consumers can easily see it before purchasing. While pumpkin seed protein is not part of Canada’s list of the 10 priority allergens that require a specific “Contains” warning, we still make sure it is fully declared in the ingredients and visible on the packaging for transparency. The Bio-K+ Probiotic Supplement includes 20 capsules that can be taken once per day to maintain normal bowel habits or twice per day when experiencing abdominal discomfort. The capsules are easy to swallow and help when I feel bloated.

I have used the refrigerator version of Bio-k over the years. Particularly if I was on antibiotics. It just works better than any other probiotic I’ve come across. This is a shelf-stable capsule formula. It is pricey; over $1/Capsule (there are 20 capsules in the bottle). But, if you are struggling with intestinal issues, Bio-K is a brand you can trust. It just works.

I'm very thankful that these don't really taste like anything, as I'm already good at avoiding pills and capsules that smell or have a strong taste. These are easy to go down, and I like that it has ashwagandha to help me sleep, as well as being a probiotic supplement (2 for 1!)
